Linux on FPGA is still something relatively new, and as such at this time there is no official opensource linux core that one can run on the Replay. Certainly tho, in the future this maybe possible. Softcores such as MicroBlaze Soft Processor Cores for Spartan7 cpu’s and others are advancing all the time. A lightweight Linux Version of linaro, archlinux, debian etc for the replay would certainly be very useful indeed and go along way to making the replay a far more useful development board.
Note: Alternate daughterboards designs for the Replay may include a future Raspberry PI CM3 module or even PI4 connection, which could possibly amongst other things, run a version of Ubuntu liunx. This in itself would be very useful in the world of robotics for one thing making the replay a far more versatile machine indeed. Apart from this, check out our Vidor 4000 board which is also arduino compatible.
